How does it decide which haircuts suit me?

Accepted Answer

It scores every cut in the library against your hair texture, your current length, your density, your hairline and how much daily styling you said you want. Texture fit and whether the cut can be done from your current length carry the most weight. Face shape is included, but only as a small nudge, because a face-shape estimate from one photo is genuinely uncertain.

Is face shape really the right way to choose a haircut?

Not on its own. Face shape is subjective, changes with the angle of the photo, and is far less useful than your hair texture, density and hairline. We show our estimate and let you correct it, and we weight it lightly on purpose.

Do I have to pay to see the recommendations?

Accepted Answer

No. The hair analysis, the recommendations, the reasons and the whole style library are free and unmetered. Only personalized previews on your own face are metered, and the first two of those are free too.

Will it tell me if a haircut is not achievable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every recommendation carries an honest label: achievable now, needs growing out with a rough timeframe, needs daily styling, will look lighter on your density, or worth discussing with your stylist first.
