Blackout, the exact-bid card game

Call it. Play it. Nail it.

One extra trick can spoil a perfect hand. Predict how many you will win, then make every card count. Free on your phone or computer.

Good cards are only half the story

Everyone makes a bid before the first card is played. Your challenge is to finish with exactly that many tricks. A tiny trump might rescue your bid. An unwanted Ace might ruin it.

Our Blackout table uses the Oh Hell family of rules, with a fresh trump suit each hand and cards dealt in a rising, then falling sequence. It starts with one card, grows to the chosen peak, and comes back to one.

Choose your table

Play with 3 to 7 people in a private room. Share the four-letter code or invitation link, then deal. Private rooms need no account. Friends can join from their own phones.

For solo play, fill two to six seats with computer players. Easy is a gentle start. Medium watches its bid. Hard compares possible unseen hands before choosing. All three see only their own cards and public plays.

Choose a short five-hand match, the standard nine hands, or thirteen hands with up to seven cards each. The host can pause a private game and return with the same browser and room link.

Sign in to create or join an open lobby. Open tables play nine hands with 3 to 7 people. Completed games against people update your skill rating, and ten rated games qualify you for the Blackout leaderboard. Adding computers makes a game unrated. Leaving early counts as a forfeit.
